They may sell a good product but lacking poor customer service.
I had to deal with the credit card company and the Dr. Mainz sales rep. for my Mom and I would honestly say buyer beware. It is not a good thing to give these folks your credit card number for a purchase. Your credit card number is now on file with them and later on down the road, you may find charges incurred for products never ordered.
As for getting in touch with someone and resolving a credit issue, very risky. The results will most likely be, you having to cancel your credit card as lost/stolen just to have peace of mind that they don't have your number anymore. And to add to injury if it doesn't get resolved within 30 days you will be responsible for those charges. So if something like this happens make sure you call your credit card company right away and inform them to what happened. They'll be able to help you as long as it is within the 30 days.
I feel with the older Japanese generation, they think that because this company is Japanese, it's safe and they're honest. This is false and no business should operate in this manner. Just be careful.
3-23-10 Follow-up. Spoke with the sales rep. today. I'm assuming she was notified by the BBB and assured me that she did credit the acct. on 3-18-10. When I got home this evening, I called the credit card co. to verify what she said she did was done. Nope. Not done. No such transaction took place on that date or around that date.
4-1-10 Update. They finally credited the account. The actual transaction was done on 3-22-10. Strange that when I called on 3-23, it hadn't posted yet. Nevertheless it took 5 months to resolve. What a major hassle. What really bugs me is that all the times I've called or had my Mom call over a period of 5 months and was told every time that it was taken care of and yet it wasn't. That was aggravating. But they finally made it right. What a way to have to learn.
