I filed a complaint with the BBB against Fry's and they did some sneaky stuff. They charged my credit card for the loaner laptop while I was waiting for a response from Fry's. Then, they never even got back to me. I have had to chase them down to get anything. Basically I purchased a 3 year warranty on my laptop. If an error that requires a repair happens 4 times and its the same failure they are supposed to replace the laptop free of charge. Mine failed three times and spit out the same error code message "Display Driver Failure." Fry's replaced it all three times and even commented on how pristine I kept my laptop. When it happened the fourth time (all four failure happened withing 12 months!!!) they suddenly claimed that it was caused by liquid damage and they had pictures, well I haven't seen one picture (not that they wouldn't of had time to doctor it up), and any reasonable person would say "Really, liquid damage? It just happened to get liquid the one place it needed to to cause it to fail the same way it just did the previous three times and get the same outcome and error code. REALLY?" Yeah, that's what I said. NO WAY. Its more than just denying my my warranty, there is something going on behind the scene that is very wrong. They won't get back to me, they have my laptop, they charged my card without my permission and I can't describe how shady this whole fiasco has been.
