***This incident happend in June 2010 and I filed a complaint with BBB but I want the readers to all read this....
My xbox was not starting up and I took it to GATpro to get it fixed. I get the system back and it turns on and reads DVD's but when I decided to play a game, it was not reading my games.
Took it back my xbox to GATpro and I was told that my system could be dirty and they would clean it for free. A week goes by and I hear nothing from GATpro until I had to stop by the shop. My xbox was not put together and I was told I needed a new cd rom drive since it was broken.
I did not have the money so I told them to put back my xbox so I can leave. I called Microsoft and was told if a cd rom drive is broken, it will not read any games or dvds. My friend and myself took back my xbox to GATpro to discuss the situation with them in a civilized matter. The owner was not only raising up his voice at my friend and myself but accused us of trying to rip them off, he threaten to call the cops that we were on private property, grabbed my xbox and flipped it, which could cause damage to parts that were not properly secured.
My friend and myself walked away and the owner cussed at us and threaten to kill us. If my friend and myself would have gone back his shop, I am certain things would have gone terribly wrong and the owner would be in the hospital
From this day, my xbox is just a glorified DVD player since they put the wrong cd rom drive in..each drive is specific to the motherboard..so if the drive gets switched to a different one, your basically fudged so I need to sell it for spare parts.
