I saw an ad in a West Windsor, NJ (yes, New Jersey) magazine for The Carpet Care. Since the advertise an 800 number, I didn't realize they were located in CA. I called The Carpet Care on 4/18/08 to schedule carpet cleaning for my whole house. The man on the other end asked where I was located and said it was no problem and arranged for his truck to arrive on 4/21/08 between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. Even though I had never used the company before, the man on the other end sounded sincere and answered my questions about the type of process they use and whether it would be harmful to my dogs.
I moved all the furniture and vacuumed the rugs to make it easy for them to clean them. When no one showed up by 2:00 on Monday, I tried to call to see where they were. Well, every time I called, I got a message saying that all their operators were busy and was transferred to voice mail. However, the mailbox was full and could not accept my message. They never did show up or call. We were home all day.
I wish I would have checked the BBB site before booking them. Just seeing the BBB symbol on The Carpet Care's ad gave me confidence in them. My mistake.
