Poor customer service for poor performing dehumidifier

Dehumidifier died after 13 months, which is within 2 year warranty. Customer Service Rep tells me to send in receipt for refund. Send in receipt and dispose of item. Later notifies me that they need the plug from the unit in order to receive refund. Should have been told this when I asked what I needed to send her originally. Refusing to send refund even though receipt provided. I still have box and paperwork, but they want cord, which I no longer have due to lack of communication from rep. Refuse to let me speak to a manager to escalate -- claim there isn't one?! Escalated to BBB.
