This potential customer completed an APPLICATION for a vehicle service contract. Upon inspection and underwriting it was discovered that the Cadillac was equipped with a North Star engine. Due to extremely high losses associated with the North Star engine, the rate classification is higher, which results in a much higher premium. The customer was given the option to pay the surcharge or receive a refund. The customer chose a refund, which was promptly granted.
