Passport Health is dedicated to educating travelers on the important health and safety risks for the areas to which they are traveling. We respect our clients' right to share their opinions about our services but would like to address issues regarding the correct vaccinations for travel to Venezuela.
We do work closely with the CDC for immunization recommendations, however the CDC website gives a broad overview of suggested vaccinations. Passport Health's Travel Medicine Specialists make recommendations based upon: length of stay, type of travel- back packing vs. 5 star accommodations, time of year- rainy vs. dry season, altitude vs. sea level, prior immunization history, medical history, rural vs. urban, any current outbreaks reported, etc. As you can see these details will vary from person to person, thus making the recommendations vary as well.
If the CDC webpage for recommended vaccinations for travel to Venezuela is reviewed you will find no less than 5 immunizations recommended in addition to being up to date on all routine adult immunizations. Receiving 7 shots as well as appropriate Malaria prophylaxis and treatment for travelers' diarrhea are the minimum to ensure a safe and healthy journey.
We certainly wish you a successful and prosperous journey to Venezuela.
