Review 2/19/2010
|
I purchased via the internet, a rather expensive Canon EF 16-35 mm lens from rocket camera in January 2010. My credit card was immediately billed for the full amount. When the box arrived, it did not contain the lens, instead there was a 2lb roll of UPS labels, (in an attempt to mimic the weight of the product I was suppose to receive). I immediately notified Rocket camera customer service of this. Anna Solano, "customer service" said she would open a case with UPS. Over a month later, and after to numerous emails and phone conversations with Rocket, I received an email from rocket indicating that my credit card would be reimbursed for the full amount. One hour later I received an additional email stating that "since I filed some type of claim with them, (American Express), Rocket Camera is unable to provide a refund". I had not opened a claim with American Express, I merely informed them of the situation. I felt that Rocket Camera would do the right thing. (I have a claim open now) So on the surface, it suggests that Rocket Camera may be involved in fraudulent business practices; taking money from the consumer, (me), then settling a claim for reimbursement with UPS and keeping that money too! At this point, I am out the money and the lens.
I would absolutely not recommend Rocket Camera to anyone. MJP
