Good for easy fixes

They did raise my score by getting an item removed that the creditor easily agreed to remove. The other item was more complex and a result of a mistake from the original creditor and their general dispute letters did not remedy the situation. I did get a better understanding of my credit score in a phone conversation with a representative.
Pros: Can give knowledgeable answers to credit questions, can get easy to remove items off your report, representatives seem to be professional in my contacts with them. Emails were all answered, though there may be a 24-48 hours wait.
Cons: Cannot help with difficult items that collection agencies fight against having removed, even if it were a result of inaccuracies or mistakes on behalf of the original creditor. You cannot just pick up the phone and call them. You have to email them and wait for a representative to call you back. They don't really handle individual case scenarios, but rather send out rounds of general dispute letters.
