My refrigerator/freezer was not cooling properly (popcicles were slush, yuck).
Smith Brothers Appliance Repair (Peter) came and performed a thorough inspection to find the problem. After the diagnosis, I agreed for them to complete the service.
Within a week, it was complete! Not only did my refrigerator/freezer work properly, but Peter put all of my groceries back into place and cleaned as he went. Terrific perk!
After calling Sears to come and give an estimate, I wasn't very comfortable with their result. Not only did the Sears serviceman not completely inspect my fridge (he opened my freezer & said that he had 15 yrs. experience & could tell by looking at it what the problem was - grrr!), he gave me what ultimately was a wrong diagnosis & an estimate of $575.
After reading the reviews of Smith Brothers Appliance Repair, I called and they were incredibly prompt, positively friendly and thorough.
He diagnosed the problem as a computer issue for the defroster (NOT the defrost compressor that Sears psychically predicted), and ordered the part immediately. Although the part was pricey, they called three vendors to check on a price to make it the most affordable. Within a week, the service was complete and I could not be happier with the outcome. I highly recommend Smith Brothers Appliance Repair! :-)
